i dunno...talking to the tech people over there, supposedly if u drip 1 drop of sweat into the gallon, the whole gallon of paint is destroyed, how true that is, i dont know....but what i do know is that if you are planning to put Por 15 over CLEAN NON RUSTED metal, you must use their "Marine Clean" and "Metal Ready" or else the paint will peal right off...brother and I did cleaned a whole frame down to bare metal than put por 15 over the clean metal, paint peeled easily. so we had to take the whole frame back down to bare metal all over again and re do it with their prep products. now its good. get most of the paint off your skin before it dries, after it dries, gotta s****e it off.
well water makes it cure so washing it with that makes it worse , wile its still wet use methel ethel keytone .
I used a pumice stone...just lightly rub it and it will come off...along with some skin..I used some dawn soap also...the stone I used was a flat one...my wife used it on her heels and elbows..
lol works great on skin dont it ..wear it off any chems you put on you are sure to be worse for you than the paint..been there done that
I took some off with brake fluid once....it works good on paint so I figured "why not"...worked for me.
Paint remover, brake fluid, anything that dissolves paint will work. If it's your hands only, I'd put a bunch of Avon Skin-So-Soft on them, then wear gloves over them so it soaks in without evaporating, and lifts it up. Then rub gently.
how bout not gettin it on you to start with....gloves & such or better yet, trick someone(like your teenage son) into doing it
You're old enough to know better...! Hahaha... serious stuff to get off but put a pair of tight gloves on and let your hands get sweaty and it might come off easier!
I you're using propane or acetylene to remove it from your skin, the procedure is the same as with tattoos. Flambe' the area until its good and crispy, then, starting at one edge, slowly lift the stain off with a gasket s****er. Now the back will be gooey and sticky, so nows a good time to stick it to the wall over your workbench to remind you not to do it again. In the case of a tattoo, well now you've got a cool one of a kind sticker for your toolbox, or let the back dry and you have a nifty beer coaster.
By the time this thread dies it should be about worn off. LOL!! Ya it happened to me to so speaking from experience!!
This **** sticks to skin better than it stick to steel as far as I can tell. I feel for you Bob. I too learned the hard way.
