Check this out on U-Tube- It is a video made by a kid at Bloomington Kennedy High School (MN) about our 35 Ford Pickup Project. It was donated by a local guy last year. The frame was rotted so we updated to a 38 frame with juice brakes and rebuilt suspension bought from a guy in Mitchell So Dakota. The flathead runs like a clock after sitting since 1982!! We are leaving the outside patina and painting / rebuilding the interior. We could use a grill and fenders, but will go without for now. If your in the area stop in or have parts- give me a call , 952-681-5000 Bill Johnson JFKautoshop

Very cool truck looks like your doing a great job. Wish my high school did something like that. Have fun guys.
We didnt get as much done as we should of due to it being "prom" weekend. I ordered a new back crossmember for the box from Little Dearborn, got the oak boards for the bed, printed the flyers and info cards for the car show, painted the firewall satin black and painted our "Kennedy Kustums" logo over the back window( same as the door art) Next week we hope to plane and surface the oak, drill out the rivets in the old crossmember and install the new crossmember, TIG weld the flattie intake and paint the interior with sealer & satin black. In the future projects are : getting flyers/ info out about our car show Saturday, June 5, 10-2, connecting the juice brakes & bleeding, and mounting the cab & box. We could use some help on information on fabin wood cab/box mounts, figuring why our steering box is now locked up (student took the column bolts out-opps!) and widening our 1935 - 15" wire wheels for the back. Lookin for afordable (OEM are pricey) wear iron strips for the box wood, a new gas tank, grill, fenders and wire harness. (OT)We also need a trunk floor and 4 trunk floor braces for our 67 Caprice 2 dr project. We will keep busy, try to post pictures soon - 18 days left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Bill
This week we cut out the old rear box crossmember and located the new one. We planed, surfaced , and cut to size the oak bed boards. The flathead header flanges were cut in the metal shop CNC plasma. Ordered a new piowder coat gun. Next week we will stain & poly the bed wood, TIG the hole in the intake, attach the box crossmember., attach the brake system parts, paint & mount the cab and box and get ready for the car show Saturday,6/5. We need to find exhaust tubing for the headers, bed wear strips and only 9 days left until summer VACA !!! Thanks, Bill
Looks like the "dream" is over. After 28 years of teaching mostly high school auto shop, they have cut our Tech Ed program from 6 to 2 teachers. They dropped 9 full cl***es and have no advanced cl***es available for students in auto, woods, metals.I will be going to the middle schools this year. I have 1 year left until I qualify for retirement - its probably time. Thanks to all the kids that took my cl***es.
