    James,

Great story and coodos on the engine reunion. I have a period T as well (see my profile). Mine survived a bit better than yours but none the less I love the 70's T's way more than the modern stuff. I just updated the tires to period stuff again....larger Indy rears and Coker repop dirt track fronts. It vibes a little at highway speed but nothing I won't live with. All personal preference I think. Don't know what you plan to do long term but that era of car are in some ways very popular today and with a nice restore it could be awesome again.

    Congrats!

I posted as thread about pulling the engine to send back to the original z28 owner. I've got the wheels on e-bay just trying to get an idea what they are worth. I've bought some other wheels for the car and I'm putting together an engine for it now and hope to have it upo and running again in a week or two.

Maybe put a blindfold on the carb....and call him and let him hear the engine rev, then quickly hang up the phone...funny shit,

Dont misunderstand my earlier post...Im all for the reunification and all...but dont be a martyr about it...it has to be worth your time. I would say that your car loses some cool factor with that Z engine missing too. You can always put something else in thats cool...(for gods sake no crate motors!) ... that engine is arguably more a part of your cars history then the '67 Z it came out of!
