what are those things called........

What are those clips that you see fabricators use on tv to hold large panels together when they are welding them? I see the expensive hot rod builders using them, I just wanted to know what they were called.

clecos (sp)..are mostly for riveted parts..although if you drill your sheet and backing they can be used, but not the right tool for the job if you get what im saying..?

**** welding clamps are for ...**** welding panels

 

These are good bit of kit but are NOT Clecos, they are made for fabricating sheet metal and come from the Aviation world.

Since the question is sorta vague...I went with the "****-Weld" clamps as my guess.
Pics of the "clips" you've seen on TV would be REAL helpful...

These? **** weld clamps..... Harbor Frieght 5 bucks a pack, welding section. Not available online




These? Clecos. Wicks aircraft, or Mittler Bros, price depends on quan***y. Get a couple pairs of pliers.

sorta,, tack inbetween, hammer the tack to open the gap back up, remove clamp.

 

Harbor Freight sell them also to those (expensive hot rod builders)

 

It's beyond me why anyone would want to weld their ****. Perhaps to stop leakage?

 

One in every crowd..................the HAMB does seem to have an abnormally high concentration though.

I have just been upgraded from a half-*** to Expensive HOT-ROD BUILDER >>>>.

 

Mine cracked right down the middle... thought about welding it, but figured it would just crack again right beside the weld. Awful lot of pressure to try to contain...

 

I was going to say vice grips!
