got a new personal best

well just a quick one i went up to kirkbride air field this weekend to the hotrod and thrills weekend with the nscc ,this was tagged onto a rwyb run by the straight liners so there was also an array of hothatch and skyline stuff .
the nssc round saw nine of our cars ranging from a 20 second triumph tolledo to an 8 second 1400hp 60` pontiac ,
As the track was as old school as you get (with out a flag start ) ,an unprepped airfield ,christmas tree and a caravan with a p.a. ontop .The unprepped track was a real levelar with know one bettering a low eleven second run with the big hp cars scrabbeling for grip and plenty of half track tyre smoking runs and Paul Hustons pontiac managing a full pass leaving 2 lovley black lines the full 1/4 he he
unfortunatly Mr Murdocs beutyful 33 whillys was not happy about not getting its tyres to stick threw itself on its side ,luckily he was ok and the car only (only ! i say he`s probly got more in his paint job than i have in my full car ) sufferd bodywork damage
As for me i made it to the semi`s more by luck than performance (scored 2 bye runs )as my first round was against the mighty pontiac but he had sufferd a brocken rocker stud on the cruise to the pub on the saturday night (all the cars in the nscc are street legal and have to be driven )as for the semis it was hot rod boogey with me (blown fenderless 32 ,5 window )and jim fairburn (n/a fenderless 3 window 32 ) with daimon bacon on a bye with his blown fully fenderd 31 sedan (im afraid to say all 3 glass but hey shoot me lol) Jim and i left the line both sliding like on ice but as soon as jim got some grip his ten second car tore me a new one lol a low elevan to my new personal best of 12.61 (on an unprepped track im very happy with that) the final saw the 2 rods of Jim and Daimon take to the start line in a meles of screeming hotrods Jim hooked up first and got to the finish first both cars deep into the elevens ,cracking runs by both cars real dragracing he he ,
As for me i managed to get 22+ runs in over the weekend ,after the race rounds i thought it was time to have a little look at what some of these fast jap cars where made of he he after about 6 runs against some of their big boys i got accused of picking on them lol . So the racing over back to the tent pack up the boot of the coupe and a nice little 140 mile drive back home to manchester .
Nosstalgia nats at avon next time out on a prepped track carnt wait for that

the driver was a ok and wanted to drive the car back to the pits lol he was talked out of that this car is also street legal runs with the steetelimianor class

err just body damage not got into the chassis at all a very easy slow flip !! hmm!! hes got more in his paint job than i have in my little yella coupe !!

 

not the normal type of car for on here but Paul and his dad are top blokes and very brave this pontiac is an 8 second street car 1400+hp ;0
