You're going to get a lot of different answers, but me personally... I would give 1000-1500 depending on running condition, and if it comes with all the trinkets like the special air cleaners etc. Most will probably say I'm a cheap *** though. Has the seller hinted at what he wants for it? Are all the rare parts still on the motor? When was it last ran?
There is one for sale here in Tenn. Here is a link. http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/1727987151.html
I have the motor. I am considering selling it and want to get an idea what its worth. I here all types of prices.
Oh. Well since that's the case, I'd put it up on a restoration site, not on a hot rodders site. Try Hemmings Motor News. You should get plenty of bites on it there. If it's a clean motor, or has nice original paint on it, I think you could 1000-1500 for it. Keep in mind that it's an oddball motor. While it does have rich racing history in Nascar... a lot of hot rod people are after a bent 8, not so much a Hudson mill. If I had the extra dough, I'd buy it. I love odd ball motors. Especially ones that make decent power like a Twin H. Good luck with the sale. -Chris
Do you still have the motor? I might be interested. I am making a hot rod for my son Hudson. I am looking to pick up a twin H 308 for our 51 hornet.
A fella on her offered to sell me his 2 or 3 years ago with a busted head gasket for 300.00. I think he wanted a hemi or something. f course I didn't have 2 nickles to rub together. I have no idea what one is worth I'd give what I could s****e up but to anyone else I probably wouldn't want less than a grand for one and up from there. Remember restorers will give crazy cash for the right pieces.
