Not that exact same thing, but my family knows a guy that built a huge custom barn, with living quarters up stairs completely opened up to his shop downstairs. He's been known to ride a bike from the bottom to the top using the stairs. As far as the tax man knows, it's just an unimproved shop. Hope he never gets caught... I met a guy 2 weeks ago that collects prewar MGs. I had to ask him how he got his dozen or so prewar MGs into his backyard with no side gate. He opens his front and back doors and drives them through his house. He says the nicer ones have made it half way through the house and have been parked for a week or two just to admire them in the comfort of his own living room. Eccentric? Yes. Cool as hell. Yes.
wasn't there one in that show Vegas? Somehow i remember him driving a convertible right into his living room.
I remember the TV show "Vega$" where Dan Tanna would drive his T-Bird into his livingroom and I thought that was cool back then.
That would be way cool Imagine sitting in your living room and looking over at your willys coupe. It would work for me G***er Girl
There was a show on the history channel a while back called extreme garages? Or something like that, that had million dollar garages like that filled with feraris mainly
When I FINALLY get our place all done and trimmed out I will post new pictures. We live in our shop. It was going to be a shop/guesthouse but we got carried away on the living quarters. Downstairs is bath/kitchen/office/laundry and the shop area. Originally we had antique gl*** French Doors from the office to the shop. As cool as it was to see the Touring parked there it became an eyesore when I was actually working on stuff. I restored a mahogany door and framed it in and am much happier with the 1/2 window. Upstairs is our master bedroom, large open living room and one other bedroom. We are just under 3000 sq feet total. At some point we will build some more living area off the Kitchen and a separate "dirty" garage out back to get the fab out of the main area. Then I will clear out the main garage and make it look s****y.
sort of on the same lines.... I dream of living here everytime i drive by it! http://www.milwaukee-home.com/content/73.php http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q..._XA5OX&sig=AHIEtbRs6o8O12CQVBdvnCE1aemg-1rd-Q
I always thought it would be really *****in' to live in an old converted loft space with a cargo elevator big enough to bring my car into my living space. Or better yet... convert a parking garage into a living space.
Robert Miles Runyan, the LA graphic designer, used to park his Ferrari Dino in his living room. Then there is this guy...... http://www.latimes.com/la-hm-0915-garage-pictures,0,4151670.photogallery Kurt O.
Well, if you guys wouldn't have gotten scared of a little South Dakota rainstorm and ran off you could have seen the house AND met the family!
Ha Ha, yeah all I need is a Murphy's Bed for The Push Bar (that's the official name in case you didn't know - I am having novelty poker chips made up for paying members and that means you)!
My DREAM is to reside in a warehouse like Scary larry's with a few floors and a car elevator Alittle rain, hail and flooding wouldn't have kept me away if I was INVITED!
This is the same basic barn we used. We ordered from this site. http://barnsbarnsbarns.com/arlingtn.html
