Event Coverage Salt Flats Speed Shop 2nd anual Bonneville Open House

Its almost that time again for my 2nd annual Bonneville Open House. This year should be even better than last year!

It all starts on Wednesday august 11th at 11:00 a.m. and goes till the last person leaves that night.

For my open house I will be debuting my 32' bonneville styled sedan.

Also this year there will be a hand full of local rods inside the shop including a 32' 3 window hi-boy, a 32' 3 window full fendered 50's survivor, a 32' roadster, and possible a 34' 5 window original paint survivor. Most of these are in private collection and are rarely shown to the public.

I will also be having the Rolling Bones Hot Rod Shop as my personal guests. They plan on having at least 5 hot rods.

I will be providing some treats and drinks. But I am also wanting to have a potluck style setup. If you know you are coming and can bring some food that would be appreciated.

Wednesday will be my official open house. But I will be here off and on at the shop till Saturday. Saturday I will be heading out to the Salt Flats with the 32' sedan.

If you want to check out the shop and cant make it Wednesday call me, and if I'm here ill be glad to show you around. Especially after the weekend for those of you leaving Bonneville heading home. 801-787-2299

You bet there will be food. Even more if you guys bring some to donate.

 

Chris , We are looking forward to your open house and should be there early afternoon on the 11 th. with two race cars and anywhere between seven to ten hot rods . we plan on staying over in your area so we hope you Utah HOT RODDERS like to party !!!! Ken and Keith

 

I can't make it but my roadster will be there! The guest can sign in under the deck lid! Oh I don't have a deck lid yet.........................

 

I'm planning on having as many of your guy's rods inside the shop as possible. Hoping to have the local TV station covering it, and possibly street rodder magazine if I can get a hold of someone

We diffidently know how to have a good time in my area. Should be a great night.

My brother in law is a gourmet chief and is going to be helping with the food. Im thinking for those of us that will be here in the evening to bring their own meat to grill.

We were planning on spending the night of the 11th at the Grand Canyon, leaving late morning and spending the night of the 12th in Beaver before heading up to Wendover... But perhaps we can get to Orem on the 12th..

We have a room at the Garter for Friday night, so can't really stay much later in Orem unfortunately... If we don't manage to get to the shop while you're there, we'll keep an eye out for you on the salt

Bummer, I was thinking it was Thursday.

 

we'll do everything we can to join the party, a group of 3-? will come. And we're bringing some chow. Maybe a brew or two?

 

Hopefully I'll have the 20 T done...

 

Maybe the Indy/Ohio crew can leave early and make it

 

Be coming in on Thursday night late with grandson will try to stop by late thursday or maybe friday

 

If I'm at my Utah home by then I will be there!

Its starting to get close. Any more of you guys able to swing by?

 

Ive been slowly getting things ready for the open house. I put u p some metal on the office and the bathroom to give it a warehouse feel.

 

if you got a copy of rod and custom aug./08...I see a bare spot on your picture board for my coupe...

 

My favorite issue, wasn't that the Mark Morton '54 Merc issue? I don't remember anythign else in there.

You bring up your old coupe like I complain about missing quarters Larry.

 

Oh and I love the look Chris!!! I plan on doing the same to my shelves on a roller type door system so I don't throw a spark in my stash an it burns the place down. Looking good!!!
