Well, I was just reading an into for a new chick here, I never really thought about it, but I guess I just ***umed that the HAMB was one big sausage fest... Well, it never bothered me, but it really is bad *** when chicks are into old cars. Im a young dude, and it seems all the chicks Ive met that liked cars were into ricers or the other answer "69 Camaros" you know how that **** goes...

How many girls are regulars on the HAMB?

And Ive been working on my girlfreind. Before we started dating she didnt know what a carburetor was, but latley shes been picking up my Mag-neto, Garage and other cool hot rod reading on her own... **** the other day she started lookin and a quilt my grand-ma made me as said "Hey that truck would look cool chopped". She even prefers the old school stuff, not beacuse its old skool, ****, she dosent really know what old skool is... A yuppy *** billet car pulled up to us at the light the other day and she started making fun of the paint scheme... Damn Im proud... Who knows, If she sticks around she might make it on to the hamb one of these days.

i met my wife (CherryBlossom) at a truck show. she was into mini-trucks but did'nt care much for "old cars" and she HATED flames. now she digs old cars and everything we own is flamed, including her 2002 GMC daily driver truck. and it was HER idea to get the flames. she's here on the HAMB al the time but she'll be the first to tell you she is only realy interested in the DRAMA [IMG]. she is HIGHLY ammused by grown men acting like whiny little cry babies.

there are some girls on here who would give anyone of us guys a run for the money when it comes to wrenchin on a car and THAT is realy cool. before i came to the HAMB i only knew of one girl who EVER got her hands dirty workin on a car, and my buddy married her [IMG].

This new Lady knows her Y-Blocks, that's for sure. Girls are the only things I love more than cars. My wife, Sandy, used to get her boyfriend in 1965 to let her race his new 65 Fairlane in the "Powder Puff" drags at our local, famous, (since 1953) Great Lakes Dragway. Don't know how she got him to let her drive it, she probly gave him something nice in return.

I picked her up a 65 Fairlane coupe and have the straight axle set up for it already. Can't swing a 427 but I have a nasty 425 Olds that might find it's way in there. As for her, she don't care what motor it has as long as it is a 4-spd. Gotta love her.

    Just teaching her to weld.
As soon as she gets good with the welder I will be moving the cooker out to the garage, she can stay out there all the time then [IMG] [IMG]

Here's a few HAMB gals that I know of off the top of my head. I think that pretty much everyone on this list works on their own stuff. I'm sure there are many more, but it's early and my brain isn't warmed up yet. I've also met a surprising number of girls who wrench on traditional cars on my space. There are even some all girl hot rod clubs out there like Hell's Belles and Radiator Hoes. I'm not sure if any of those gals are on here, but it's possible.

My girlfriend (HAMB code name - kim) is building a '52 Chev P/U with my help. She wants to learn & do as much work on it as she can. Not so she can brag, but so she knows how her truck works & can fix it. AND she appreciates whatever help I can offer. I'm no expert, I'm just teaching her the little I know. I'm learning myself, being a Ford guy working on a Chevy.

It's a treat that she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty! She helped me as I tried in vain to get my '56 running in time for the Pileup & didn't ***** that we got there waay late.
On the other hand, when I asked my ex-wife to help me with my car, she'd come outside in her $300 leather jacket & wonder why I got pissed off.
    I'm a lucky guy NOW!

I like women on the HAMB, but I hate it when people get stupid and go gaga over a gal posting for the first time.. Come on they don't know if she's married or has a BF, no respect... Oh well my 2 cents.. Please don't act like you've never met a gal before... Women of the hamb kick a$$..

And she's one of my favorites as well. A true car gal that works on her own ride. Frisky Kitten is another one who's company I really enjoy.

I had quite a few people thinking I was a dude when I first joined the list... my 'name' isn't feminine, and my intro post ***le made no mention that I was a girl. The reactions I've gotten when they found out I wasn't a dude have been kinda amusing. [IMG]

  20. What if Martha Stewart learned auto repair in prison? Think about that one for second...

In just about every little mag from the 50's I have picked up and read, there were a couple of cars owned by women in every one, the fact we gots talented womens here shouldn't be a suprise to anyone.

    Viva la HAMB women!

P.S. My 52 will probably sport a set of Ms. Metal's web headlight covers.

My wife Kali is on here.....we choose to share my name when posting.....unfortunately,every project we have chosen for her had to be sold to cover med stuff, at least for the last 5-6 years......things are about to change.
She was taught by Roth himself to pinstripe, takes **** from NO man or woman, and will tackle anything I bring up....
    She doesn't care for drama.....
And she stayed up til 5am working on a design,so I'm writing this.....

Over the Holiday week when i was working on the 37.
We had to make parts runs to look for stuff we needed.
A friend of mine delivers parts to be chromed to an underground chrome shop hidden away from the EPA for the obvious reasons. We stopped by a warehouse where cars are stored and worked on for a vintage auto sales place near us to pick up some parts to be chromed.

On the way there, he was telling me about a beautiful blonde they hired as a saleman for the company.

As we approached the warehouse they open the door to find the whole place full of vintage cars in various stages. We could hear a low rumbling of a healthy engine.

Right in front of us was a 1963 Black Corvette split window running. But what really blew us totally away was what was bent over the fender with her head under the hood adjusting a carburetor on it.

My God, I dont know what was more beautiful... the split window or the late 20ish long legged blonde with a screwdriver in her hand. We both about died.

    Be still my heart.

Well I know that the HAMB's not a dating service...but strangley enough my ex introduced me to the HAMB and well, the HAMB introduced me to someone better, and taught me how to turn a wrench too! God Bless you HAMB board! Is there nothing you can't do? The next thing I'm asking the HAMB gods for is free welding supplies, a garage, a kitten...
