Theres a '47-'48 ford truck i saw in a town near buy.. its parked at the road but kinda covered up.. so im not sure if he's selling it. the body seem to be in ok condition, looks like the restored it a while back.. its not bad theres no motor/****** in it though what would you say one like that is worth? ill try and snap some pictures.. i wanted to see what yall would think its worth before id go over there and he would try to trick me on a price just because im a chick if i remember correctly, its just like this truck, just yellow and needing the body/paint work
I'm not a big Ford guy, but I know that is a 1946-47, and also believe that Ford did not use the F-1 designation until 1948, then in 1953 it became the F-100. The 1946-47 is just called a half-ton truck. I know it's a technicality, but you need the proper info to look up other pics on the net. If the rearend is original in that truck, the rearend is the open drive banjo, only ones that were not torque tube.
you mean 45-47 right or do they go back earlier than that hmm. i dunno there would have to be a pic for me to consider how much and if it runs or not but since it dont have a motor or ****** i wouldn't except anything over 3 grand if the body is perfect so i dunno need a pic to see
It's not the most sought after body style so that would keep the price reasonable. If it is solid, no through rust or pitting and minimal door dings I'd guess around $1500 (no engine/trans). this is ***uming the brakes will need rebuilding and the interior is worn.
Actually, 42-47. A neat truck if you want Ford but don't want a cookie-cutter. I've never been on the FordTruckWorld.com site, but I like their enlightened at***ude of allowing pics to be posted on other sites with the subtle hint of origin. BTW:
thanks guys, i wasnt exactly sure of the year, i just thought of what it could be, ill see if i can get pictures today. im a member of fordtruckworld.com and i posted on there also, ill see what they have to say once more people read it. if i get pics ill post it
