Stuff I've bought was high quality. And any product designed by a guy with 200 and 300 MPH Bonneville hats has got to be alright.

  4. No problems with all the 40 Ford stuff I've bought ....

We used their engine/frame mounts on the 51 Chev Bus Coupe V-8 swap; put them right where the instructions said, and they fit perfectly. BUT, I did'nt like the rear trans mount, as it's a strictly weld in affair, and does'nt allow for the trans to be pulled without taking the engine out also. Gave the one we ordered away, and used a modified Dodge Dart trans crossmember for a bolt in/drop out crossmember/trans mount. Butch/56sedandelivery.

everything i have used has been excellent, used their products in over a dozen cars over the years

  12. Lots of CE components on Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup, everything is top quality, good fit, no problems.

  13. I personally believe Chassis Engineering is unmatched in quality and fit. I urged a friend to buy their parts but he purchased TCI instead because he got a "better deal". It has been 8 years since he bought the parts and now that he finally started to install the components under his 53 sedan delivery, needless to say, he wishes he had purchased from Chassis Eng.

Everything that I've used from them worked great except for a set of motor mount plates for a SB Ford. Called CE and they asked me for measurements and then sent me another set at no cost and no postage. Highly recommend them.

You know what is funny? The fact that at one time in hot rod history everybody had to make their own stuff! From that I believe it is not too far a stretch that if you buy some hot rod stuff from someone, you might have to work on it to adapt it to your situation. I have been a happy customer of CE for years but I have been known to modify the stuff they send me. OMG!

Front and rear suspension for my 37 came from them and my then 7 year old helped bolt it on. Everything fits and looks good to me. Had a couple of questions on ride height and springs and they were more than happy to talk you through anything you ask.

I use their stuff and love it. But I have had to modify some things. I bought a radiator mount for a 40 chevy and when installed it put the radiator at the wrong angle. I called them and shipped it back. They sent me another that was just tack welded per our conversation. I twisted it into position and welded it up. It was perfect. Can't bitch about that kind of service. With the exception of the frame and the rear springs and rear lower shock mounts which are Posies, all of the chassis components on my 40 are CE's. Wouldn't trade em for anything else.

I like their parts, have used them multiple times. High quality parts. Some I've had to modify, but thats one of the things I like about them, you can get bare, un welded parts that are easily modified when you know you're going to have to. I rec. them to everyone looking for that sort of product.

  21. Used their Hotchkiss conversion for my '46 Ford. Everything fit, but the springs spec'd were waaaaaayyyyy over sprung. Removed all but two leaves for a decent ride, but had a bit of an issue with axle hop afterward.

Yup, sometimes you do have to modify things, however, if the box says "bolt-on", my expectation is - bolt-on.

I've been selling and using CE parts for over 20 years, never had a comeback yet.

I can't offer any first hand accounts, but I just have to say that CE deserves to enjoy a really great reputation for customer satisfaction. They seem like an exceptional house to deal with.

There were some remarkable testimonials here. Just sounds like an outfit that solves problems aggressively and creatively and puts customer's first and foremost.

    Credit where credit is due.

Great stuff used it for years, and dad used it for years before me.

  25. The parts that I have bought from them were all outstanding. Well built, well engineered, easy to install. I couldn't be happier with them.

The Bonneville streamliner that Roy (Chassis Engineering) built is probably one of the nicest-built cars I have ever seen at Bonneville in over 10-years of going there!...(AND, it ran within 11-MPH of another streamliner with twice the engine size and probably 50-times the $$$ budget!!)

  27. I used their front axle in my 32 because it was the only forged one at that time. I have their front spring also. No complaints.
