    Hey
I was wondering if anyone had a frame diagram with diamentions for a 1966 GMC pickup. I don't know if it's a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton. My truck is butchered up in a few different departments. It's not a factory 4x4 because I can see where they tried to do a good job of welding in the front spring perches. I also think that these trucks have a divorced mounted transfercase from factory and mine doesn't. Any info about the frame would be great.
    Thanks

Yes they were divorced. The orig 4x4 frames were m***ive side rails even on 1/2 tons. They had positive arch front springs and that required the rear springs to have very tall lift blocks from the factory.

67-72 frames will work if you move the cab mounts a bit

If I was to take a guess? your GMC had rear leaf springs when new on 2 and 4wd, Chevy was coil on 2wd. I would bet your truck frame is/was a 2wd with front springs added??

Look for the old bolt holes for the old 2wd front suspension.
