63 ford beds

    how hard is it to shorten and what looks better short or long bed?

    if anybody has advice please let me know?

    Do you have a surplus box? I like the long box my self. But they made the same box for years, mite be easier to to trade or buy the rite one.

    If the pic in your avatar is the truck, then it'll be a lot easier than if it was a unibody truck. Find someone with a shortbed and get measurements from the centerline of the wheel well fore and aft. Then make your cuts. I think the front of the box can be cut at the bulkhead, but the rear will have to be sectioned.

    shortbeds raised or lowered look good. i made mine a long bed, but mine is also a crewcab, looks more normal to me. do a search on here there is a very good thread with lots of pics, just cant find it at the moment...
