I bought a 1947 Ford Tudor parts car because the frame was never touched and i needed it for a swap on my 46 coupe. So now I have this Tudor that to get creative with. I was planning to use it to improve my welding and fabrication skills. The floors and rockers need to be replaced and the trunk floor from the wheel wells back is toast/gone.. So my thought was having some fun with it. In other words- Chop Channel Make it a permanent roaster I even found a youtube video of a guy that made one into a pickup with a f100 bed. very cool idea since the trunk floor is mia already. You guys have any ideas or threads that might help?
I don't get it. 1. You have a bare tudor body with no frame. 2. You're contemplating major repairs on it's floors & rockers, as well as major body mods, but you'll still need a frame for it. 3. If you can get a frame for the tudor, then you could've done that with the coupe and skipped the tudor step entirely. 4. Meanwhile, you still have a '46 coupe (on the tudor's frame) that's collecting dust. Why not sell the tudor body (or parts of it) to help subsidize completing the coupe????
wow that the last type of responses i thought i would get out of this website. I ask for ideas on how to customize my car and i get told to sell it, part it out or crush it.
Try looking for another frame, I bought my second one for $200... Or go with an s10 frame... if you are going to RPU it, you can make the bed fit the legth of the frame.
