Does anybody know in a 1953 Chevy sedan 4 door standard car if the 235 is a babbot rod or not ???

Welcome from Guthrie and it should be a babbitt motor.

 

It has the small side cover and 2 bolts through the valve cover I've been told its a babbitt and I've been told its not how do I tell for sure also I'm not for sure If its the orinal motor but it is a 3 speed on the tree

yes ,look on the driverside below the exhaust,if there is a 3 bolt triangular plate she's a babbit.is it a pg trany
