The HAMB when used wisely is an excellent place to meet other PEOPLE with like interests. I've learned a TON of stuff here. And thanks to the HAMB will have SteelPhoenix stripe my new ride when the time comes.

I'm really glad the women are here - a needed reality check for me, and another perspective has to be healthy for the hobby...Too bad they have to deal with our baggage as well as everything else involved in building cars! I've been lucky enough to know some women who do this thing hard core, and they're valued friends now...

All you guys agree with me that when a chick is into the old cars, it raises her up a few notches(say from a 5 to a 7, or a 7 to a 9,)?

 

i think that's awesome that some chicks like to wrench... straight or gay, i don't care.. i treat everyone equally and i get along with everyone.

but what I wonder is this would be a good place for Gold Diggers to come on and try to act like they like cars and meet guys with stable finances...

I'm pretty poor myself. college costs are killing me.

 

I got the **** embar***ed out of me at the track one time when a buddy's "friend" figured out a brake problem that I was working on. I was too much of a ****y SOB to listen to her. She was right, I was wrong, and we almost missed the race because of it. Turned out, she owned a garage full of old cars, mostly Euro road-race stuff, but I learned my lesson. I wish there were more women into hands-on rodding, and I'm always happy to see a guy welcome an intro with a "Welcome," rather than a request for picture of them (rather than their car.)

miss feb makes me go gaga over her geeze. but yeah i agree it's good to have gals workin on rods with there men. all my ex's i tried to teach some stuff about rods. but i rather have them play with my wrench in my truck than wrench on it hehe sorry i know that was wrong i'll shut up now

Do you want your woman wrenching on a car then getting in bed with rough hands? Grease under the finger nails? You want a car buddy with a ******? I don’t think so!
The only work I do with a chick is in a horisontal position!
Think about it!
I’m lucky to live on the west coast, and working in the film business I hang with some of the hottest chicks you’ve ever imagine some really are into old cars and hot rods but you’ll never see them working on a car they always get some dude to work on it for them wile they sit back and watch, and then drive it!

Hmmmmm, maybe that's why I can't get a date to save my life.

(I wear dark fingernail polish to hide the grease.)

I have soft hands. It's all in how you take care of yourself.

Of course my car has been away from me for a year and a half now, but it should be here in March. Yay. Plus I may have the A by then too.... yippee!

 

My gal is too busy wrenchin on her beemer to post. I'll see if I can get her to do an intro.

Besides, grease is good for the hands... its the bondo dust that makes them dry and cracked.
