This may be wildly OT, and if so please delete, but a friend of mine has just returned to Denver after winter over here (Finland). She is a professional athlete, is a college graduate, US citizen and is looking for a job doing "kinda anything" not involving fries or paper hats.

    Can anyone help?

If you know of someone who is hiring or have something, if you PM me your number I will p*** it on to her.

The athlete part isn't as necessary as the job part. Doesn't have to be in Fitness etc. She just wants to pay the bills.

Tell her to apply at Hooter's...they're always hiring...:D:D

FWIW, she shouldn't have any problems finding a job...Denver's economy is better than most...

I think Hooter's might involve fries, or fried customers.

I can't believe someone bothered to put a star on this. It was never going to be interesting.

Never had a problem finding a job in Denver Metro in all the years I lived there. You just have to be willing to take a job that you might not want until the one you do comes along.

Beats the hell out of me.

She once said something about being able to teach school (I think), but like I said, she just wants a paycheck at the moment.

    Final bump.

    Anyone??

Doesn't have to be you hiring, even if you know someone who is. Apart from the no fries/hats she ain't picky.

  14. Tell her to look up and down the Mall downtown, I think I've seen several places with now-hiring signs in their windows. If she doesn't mind getting dirty tell her to look in construction, there's enough of that going on right now that she might be able to get a job doing something on a site, maybe even sans the physical labor depending on what her degree is. If nothing else, as an athlete she can look at all the REI's and what not they have around here. I'll keep my eyes open if I see any places hiring around here.
