Depends on condition. They are stupid money unless you dig.
#1-6 are always over $100 ea in unread condition
The whole set is usually over a grand.

All but #47! If narrowed down and forced to pick I think I would have to pick #40. The Dale Lambrose '29, the Walker Morisson car, that's the one I pickup most frequently. No, wait how about #8, Bill Vinthers car, yeah that's it. Aw ****, can't forget Danny Zank's '29 in #7, that's got to be my favorite full fendered "A". But how could I forget #4 with Ganahl's article tracing all the old shops from the forties and fifties. Hell, that one changed how I exist - now I'm always looking at buildings and wondering what used to be there. And ya know, #32, now that was a hell of a deuce tribute... and I'm not really a deuce kinda guy! And Mox Millers Impala?! I'm not even a custom guy, and I waited about thirty years to see an article on that one! Aw ****, there goes another afternoon of productivity!!!

Good point. I'll have to agree. They're pretty much all equally good to me. I luckily own them all and have subscribed since issue #4.

#38 - for my $ the Howerton roadster is top of the heap.

Also enjoyed the Ardun history article.

    (Its not like I don't read every one . . . .)

Number 8. The bare metal unveiling of the Brookville duece roadster. The bare metal to black fade in shot and feature of the Dave Simard built deuce 3 window is one I always go back to. Took it to the upholstery shop this week to show the man how I wanted the interior in my 3 window which he is about to start on. And finally the fearure of the Hirohata Merc.

... But then there is # 36! Both Grabowski clones! A life history of Zora Arkus - Duntov? Stone Woods and Cook Willys - Really?!?! How does it get better? No, wait, #34 - Rob House's Fleetline, Understanding the Unpredictable - Steve Reyes photo history- Altereds, ya that's it. One of the best quotes ever on driving an altered back in the day..."Basically, if a guy wanted to drive you tried him, and if he made it to the other end of the track alive, then, ok, do it again." Thank god I have them all! Unfortunately for me, since yesterday afternoon, they've all been out and strewn across my living room. You would be shocked at the noises that come out of a Chinese woman trying to speak English when she walks into that mess... But she has come to know that is just part of the wonderfulness of me!

All of them. I only wish I could afford them, instead of going to Books a Million and thumbing through it.
