This is probably a dumb question but I'm putting the front end back together on my 62 Galaxie and I was just wondering if I should put any grease inside the bushings on the lower A-arms and on the idler arm when I put them back together or should it just be metal on metal inside the bushing. Thanks in advance!

If the bushing has an outer shell of metal and rubber on the inside it might help with the install. I'm not familiar with the car of your type, but if you had some pics. I cold tell you for sure. I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night if that's any comfort to you. ;)

Here is the A-arm with the bushing already pressed in. I'm just wondering if I need to put anything on the bolt that goes through the bushing and holds it in place. The shop manual doesn't say anything and am probably just being overly cautious.

    Thanks again for any help.
On a side note - I remember staying at a Holiday Inn when I was a kid that had an indoor swimming pool with a water fall - I thought it was heaven.

My 57 is about the same deal. I've never put any grease there and had no problems.
