went to the Monroe swap today, only thing I bought was one of Hamilton's 471 2x2 top plates I know the 97s only flow about 155 cfm each natural, maybe a bit more when forced, and my motor seems to like about 600 but I couldn't help myself, I had to at least see what it might look like rolled it outside for a snapshot four barrel will be back on in about two minutes.. oh well, now I know what it looks like
yeah, I looked for you too, was wondering if you were thinking about the Topolino in Texas I can't do it right now but still have some of that stuff I'd be more than happy to donate, frontend, ch***is kit... early Olds power? I was in at 7:30 out at 11:30 saw a few HAMBers but didn't stop to say hey to any hollered at justdug as he he ran off, damb near got run over by ****gy, he was on a mission and 'don't think he even saw me, moses was deep in conversation with a customer and saw a few others scurrying around looking for that one special part
The dual 97's definitely have the edge in the looks department! Too bad there isn't some way to get enough flow and still have them on the blower! Had to work today, and couldn't drive up for the Monroe meet.
my thought was in this direction, same basic components, Olds 303, Cragar driven 4-71, dual Strombergs... although here the carbs sit on a four barrel top plate using an adapter. I don't have any SP tops (yet), but I do have some of those valve covers..
paul ya should of stoped had a cold one for ya. made a killing got rid of a lot of stuff and bought some goodies also...jeffrey
Paul that looks good. maybe a different 3 bolt carb will give you more cfm for cruizing around town it would probably be fine, just keep the foot of out it.....
Hello, Really like your T roadster PU .I've started building one using the 27 RP metal body, but can't decide how to channel it.I guess if you use the A frame like on yours the T body foorboard supports and firewall braces become history.Did you cut the side subrails much? What are you using for a steering box? Dan
be easiest to answer with a link to the build, I don't think I do***ented the swap to the Olds though.. The 60's Style T build
Thanks for the link to your build.Certainly a lot there, but went through and totally enjoyed your approach to building .I've built several full fendered "A"s but never got around to doing a T. Now, I've two 27 RP bodies and just can't bring myself to cutting them up.Probably do one though ,as I miss the ride and raw power of a hotrod. Yours is all 50s retro, but I think the early 60s gives a bit more room for locating parts and speed equipment ,probably not as unique an era but still pretty raw as I remember from Highschool days.
