I second that,I dont think I have ever seen one in what looks like running condition. I have seen a lot of these intakes for sale over the years. CBB
saw a listing on epay for setup like that last nite. under Y-block listings. fyi. some guy in lakewood, CA.
My Dads 1964 Pearson had a pair of them...twin screw. One turned the opposite direction. They used that intake system for clearance. They were under the flat cabin deck. You pulled up a hatch and there they were. With a normal intake system, the carbs and flame arrestors would stick through the floor.
I thought about trying to buy an old YBlock powered Chris-Craft or Century boat to go with the rest of my Y-block ****. You can buy the "Interceptor" valve cover decals however. I'm getting a couple of pairs of them for my project cars.
Dowty Turbocraft Interceptor, I believe most used the Carter YH carbs http://www3.nbnet.nb.ca/khan/jetsite/intrcept.htm
