    guys,
if any of you have the brass tops on your radiators polished, please post them here.
i am thinking about getting the black paint off mine and showing off the brass.

any tips on what will work best to remove the black paint, and getting the brass polished ?

    thanks much.

yea but the lead will be seen, not clean, the finished radiators are solder clean. all the other ones will show the solder all over every thing. if that ok with you, then go for it! ive done it before, but ended up painting black again! post your results.

Hey the soldier will show but it shines up to look like silver and looks good. It's so easy to do try it and if you don't like simply paint it black again.

Thinner and some cutting compound takes it back to brass and helps remove any stains. Once it's clean and smooth good old brasso will shine up the brass and the solider.
