Just registered. After visitiing the site for more than a month it seemed like the right thing to do. I have a 55 Belair 2dr ht and a 50 Ford Custom 2dr sedan. Just like the old stuff. Give me a big steering wheel and a shiny horn ring and I'm happy as a clam. Born in 47 and the first car I owned as a sophmore was a 55 belair 2dr ht with a broken 265. Replaced it with a junkyard 283 and had a blast. Baby moons, fenton 3spd floor shift and 411's in the rear. 409's, 427 chevys and fords, 389 pontiacs and 413 and 426 mopars were the hot new motors in "NEW" cars of the day. A 283 in a 55 kept me having a great time and no car payments. In a small town in southern Wisc. it just didn't get a whole lot better than that. Remember how much we didn't need? Times have changed. I'll see you down the road.
