I was wondering if there are any salvage yards with vintage tin around Dallas? 1900-1950s car/trucks.
Have you heard of that yard in Sanger Tx.I think its called AAA auto ranch ,they have one or two of almost everthing from 1920-1980,but there prices are higher than giraffe _ _ _ _ _.Good luck anyway!
Thank! we were just looking for a place to check out. Cause my friend is looking for a 1926-30 coupe for his son and that has not been easy. I am just looking for ?. Thanks again!
In the last few years they have cleared out a lot of salvage yards that were around here. Im in the area if Ill try to check and see what I can find thats still open. You might ask Dirty31 he is from this area and is proably more knowledgable on this type of subject
I know one thing there aint know coupe in any wrecking yards around here. Last year at Pate swap meet there was a guy with a chopped 31 coupe with a frame all set up no motor though for 2500.00 still kicking myself in the but for not buying it. He was from Ft. Worth. I know where another one is but the guy wont get rid of it. I go by there periodically to beg him. I will keep my eyes open for you. I know where a Sedan is
The Chickasha spring vintage swap meet is coming up, March I think. I bet you could find one there. There is also a vintage yard out by Denton with tons of post war stuff. I heard they were outragously high priced though. 600 acres and you can browse. A friend here in town has a very nice restored 31 coupe in his garage that the owner wants 13,500 for.
What are you looking for? I have several old cae projects and I buy and sell all the rime. So I never know what I'm going to run across. I'm up in the panhandle, Lubbock Tx. Also I know where lots of stuff is if you have a wish list. Keith
Try going out Jackboro hwy (199) off north 820 also down in the woods of Mansfield also supposed to be a couple old places around Athens A guy at the harley shop in Arizona told me about
ctc auto ranch is the place up here in sanger, but there's no 20's-30's stuff. a couple old cabs, mabye. mostly 50's and later. beware though, they quoted me 1700 for a 53 plymouth, and when i went to pick it up, he decided he wanted 2500. it's cool to look around in, but bring your visa card, and your master card, and discover....
county line cl***ics just got a bunch of new stuff I havent gone out to see what yet I hear it was mostly late 50's though.
I inherited my grandmothers 69 Dart ******* (225). Unfortunately, it was a florida car and has it's fair share of rust. Does anyone have a sugesstion as to where I could find a good floor pan for my Dart? The floor pans I've found from YearOne etc don't really cover a large enough area for me. I'm thinking a full floor pan may be a the way to go... Are there any good salvage yards in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with decent a-bodys lying around? Thanks for your suggestions! Bill
