The May 2009 car show was one of the most successful ever with 256 cars on display! According to Central County Occupational Center (CCOC) Auto Body Repair instructor and event organizer, Robert McTaggart, approximately 1,000 people attended the car show. Spectators voted on what their favorites were for best car, best motorcycle, best bike, and best paint in the show. Total profit was nearly $4,000 for the CCOC’s SkillsUSA club and Robert did an excellent job organizing last year's event. There were many volunteers setting up for the event including CCOC staff and SkillsUSA students. Also, several students brought in their own cars that they had worked on while attending CCOC. Students and staff from other CCOC programs set-up displays showcasing some of the many cl***es available at CCOC. The Culinary Arts and Baking and Catering cl***es ***isted with the cooking of more than 600 meals and the feeding of those in attendance.<O</O The following link is to an excellent 2-minute video that El Observador reporter Osvaldo Castillo Jr. made at the 2009 car show: http://autos.sma****s.com/video/IDu3tb626YQ/ccoc-car-show.html.
