1965 Riviera Trunk Lock Emblem Interchangeability

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Richard D, May 11, 2010.

  1. Will any other cars be the same? I need one, I posted a wanted ad, but maybe another will fit. Not a restoration, so a slight cosmetic difference is O.K. as long as it fits

I checked my Hollander and it show zip, nada, nothing. Sorry I couldn't help. Keith

  3. Gimmie yours, your car is all rusty anyway, an emblem won't make a difference.;)

  4. I have been wondering the same thing, they are hard to come by.

  5. ****, can they be fixed? Mine got loose and all swingy at the Roundup, my buddies turning it the wrong way getting beers out of the trunk. Maybe I'll just shave it?

  6. Get some new friends, those guys are always drunk, OH,,,, wait a minute, maybe you are a bad influence????

  7. Probably you, you old fart!

Mine is vac operated and has no key opening. All of the badges, door handles, hood trim, hood peak and trunk trim have been shaved and leaded in. If I had one I would give it to you. Keith

It is shiney metal and ready to finish the body work. It will be off the frame after the Rust Revival. Blasting the frame getting bagged, body goes to the shop and put on a rotiserie. The car is an old custom that someone did years back. I am just breathing new life into it. If you want you can come and finish it for me. I am buying a 66 Rivi GS to flip for build money for this one. So far my investment for a 65 Gransport 2 x 4 car is 300 bucks.

  14. Damn, that old girl is actually pretty solid under the surface rust. Not bad for a $300 investment! Keep it up.
