SIN ALLEY RUMBLE INFO! I had a meeting to finalize everything with our show and was told ( now rather than 9mo. ago when I set it all up) that no-one will be able to find 311 Iron Horse Way due to it being a new private street. The address to look up is: 555 VALLEY ST, PROVIDENCE, RI This sucks cause all my flyers that went out all over the joint has 311 Iron Horse Way. We lived in Minnesota for ten years. Big hot rod country, you saw on HAMB that they drew almost 12,000 hot rods and customs this year for the Back to the 50s weekend in June. What they do is have a overarching organization that meets in a shopping mall auditorium and in January, if I remember right, all clubs in the state send reps and they hash out a schedule. Still doesn't take care of national stuff like Goodguys or some local VFW show but for most of the clubs I see flyers for on here, including my club, the Kustom Kings of NH, an organization for New England that would provide a forum to iron out dates and such might not be a bad idea?
Been there done that. Back in the late 60's thru the 80's we had the Northeast Street Rod Organization (NESRO for short) with the same goal plus they put on a season ending run/dance/dinner as a finale in the Fall. Each of the member clubs had two reps and their clubs paid for them to go to the planning meeting(s) in the winter. It covered clubs from NJ to Upstate NY plus all the New England states. FWIW, it looks like this thread here on the HAMB is accomplishing the same mission (without the end of year run - which is good because that's what lead to the downfall of NESRO as I recall).

Just a cheap "cut & paste" from the thread I put up the other day... Hope to see some fella's there > Where the hell did the season go? Seems like I was just pulling the cars outta storage last month. Well here it is already. The official shameless promotion for my fall "show." Those of you who have been to some of the previous ones know that I try to do something a little different. Like they used to do in the old days. Not just a boring "classed" show where people sit in their lawn chairs in front of their cars. It's a show where everybody knows everybody or at least most of the guys know at least a handful of the other drivers. Plus you get to see some different cars. I also try to have a couple fun events like the Slow Drags & the Creeper Races. Maybe a pizza eating contest if enough people are interested. Just a laid back day of kool cars & kool people... FREE to all Kustoms, Hot Rods, Lowriders, Trucks, Bikes, Classics & Spectators No Judging or B.S. Trophies, just a day of cars, trucks, bikes & fun. Onsite Pinstriping, Music, 50/50 Raffle ... Slow drags, piston toss, creeper races. "Official" end time is 4:00pm, but we usually end up hanging out later... Food will be available including HOMEMADE Sausage, Ziti &Meatballs, dogs, burgers. Also cash bar inside. OR feel free to bring yourself a Hibachi & cook up your own food. Please no burnouts, no loud stereos, no BYOB. For more info Contact Rich (978) 852-1264 Email: whpch2000@hotmail.com Hope to see some of ya there.
Season's just about over already. What a drag... No pun intended Still the fallout this weekend & My show, the 2010 season Closer, next weekend. Trying to put together something for next year in Downtown Boston. We did it on '09 & it was a hit. Scheduling against the Red Sox (parking, or lack thereof) makes it difficult. But worth it! I think there was a thread on here somewhere covering the last one.
Don't forget the "Gathering of the Faithful" October 16th in Rochester, Mass. Right on RT 105, just North of RT 195.
I'm gonna see if we can make it. Gonna be a little tough. Trying to get ready for our show on Sunday.
NEW VENUE THIS YEAR! NO LONGER IN PALMER! the new address is: Hamilton rod & gun club 24 Hamilton rd. Sturbridge ma 01566. only 20 minutes up the road!
