Let's see your two/tri - tone paint jobs!!

My buddy Greg's "grecian gold and calypso cream" '56 Belair.

 

I did this in the 70's. Wasn't long and several rods started doing the same.

 

The Gray is an 05 Dodge stratus color. These hardtops were factory 2 tone, so nothing to unusual here. Except the painted beltline trim. The pot metal was too far gone to rechrome.

 

Lets see some more. I'm trying to work up some motivation for my Merc.

 

I'd think that pics of Mercs would work the best but maybe if you squint...

 

That's nice, I am just looking for color combos to spark my imagination. Not just pics of Mercs. I want to see them all! lol

Here's my 56 with original paint.

dark green over light green

 

simple black and white

 

Dark blue and light blue. Put on with a brush. Before color film.

 

Late model GM silver- "Lite Slate" is the name if I remember. 69 Chevy antique white on the top.

My just finished g***er project in Hugger orange and white. I really like tri 5s in two tone but I had to think a while before doing a g***er. I did the 150 paint scheme to make it different.
