I've been trying to collect photos of nicely dressed FE's, but can't find alot. Been through all the threads in a search. So come on, let's see some!! There has to be a few on here, these engines are COOL! Early styled, chromed up, finned, tripowered, HOT ROD power plants. Here's a few to get the ball rolling
The second one is not an FE is it? It has the t-bird valve covers but the wrong bolt pattern on the exhaust and a few other things . . .
Sorry I don't have a better picture of this one. It was a hi-po 352 with a cross-ram intake. It was an awsome looking set-up.
My buddy has a 351W with FE valve cover adapters too. He's running the same early Merc VCs that I am on my 352. I know you are tired of looking at it but he asked.
I beleive it's a small block Ford with valve cover adapters to bolt the FE valve covers on, it does look nice though . Another member on here has them on his small block, dirtbag13, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/member.php?u=58206 .
Look closely, the intake extends under the valve cover. It is an FE. Here is another from the web. And the Greatest FE of all (some would say greatest engine of all time.)
I don't know if it is done right in other people's eyes, but I like it. The 390 in my 68 Galaxie: Before... and After
Unfortunately mine is completely torn apart waiting for it's turn to be machined. Nice image, giving me plenty of ideas.
Shit... I never inspected that picture closely before I posted it. It's hard to see alot of the details on it. 231ramona that cross ram setup is sick!
those two fe's in roths mysterion were absolutely gorgeous ! probably 390's but claimed to have been 406's ? anyone know for sure ?
a little ot ! this was mine in an ot car before i came to my senses and found this site ! 428 cobra jet , dual carbs backed with a toploader 4 speed ! i will have myself another fe powered rod , don't worry it will be dressed apropriate next go around !
NICE some more six carbed big block Fords!! Those things look awesome! nick-the-kiwi I've seen your car in alot of Aussie mags, I love that tudor!! I always assumed that was running windsor power, I'm glad to be wrong I can't say I could complain about a 427 in a Starliner either
I wish it was but thats not my car. Harry a buddy of mine built it & finished that car in 2002-3 or there abouts. The pics were taken at Bonneville a couple of years back the car is now back in NZ. It sure is one hell of a hotrod.
A guy here in town has a 55 sunliner with a 427 cammer. Ill try to get a pic. Loaded with dual fours and some gnarly custom headers. Very very very cool.
This is the engine that I derived my screen name from. a 1967 427 Sideoiler. On the floor getting ready to drop in trans and all and sitting between the aprons after install. I also had factory AC, PS and PDB bolted to the engine and a 63 dual quad set-up with a Mallory crab cap dizzy. Of course solid lifter!! Oh the sweet noise.
I am collectin parts fir a FE for my 66 galaxie copnvert I love this thread! if anyone has a spare 6 carb intake please hit me up!
