Great looking ride. I agree with the earlier postings on drop axle or resetting the springs. With a set of skirts it would look pretty hot as a tail dragger.

I agree, a little rake would be lovely. I've ridden in one. Before I had a car of my own. 1955. The gal that had it would pick me up and ride me around. As I recall it had a fairly soft/stable ride.(compared to a model A anyhow.:D I would take a little arch out of the springs instead of removing a leaf.

Congratulations! A very nice car. Nice to see some different makes/models. Post some more pics!

I think a little rubber rake, dearch 2", paste a huge smile, hit the road!

SWEEEET! Very nice ride, it doesn't look like it needs much of anything but you to enjoy it!

Man, it's nice to see that dreams DO come true, sometimes...It means that I can keep on dreaming, cuz just maybe, some day...

I'm trying. No one wants to pay anything for a project car I guess.

Although I think it will look better dropped, I would drive it as is for a while. It may grow on you sitting up high.
    ...nah, slam it!

    38 Plymouth, very similar car...
I had originally taken two leafs out of the back, and three out of the front. Skiping every other leaf on the front and silimarly on the rear.

BUT! I discovered that taking that many out of the front led to some bottoming out issues and it appeared to be putting too much strain on the main leaf as it was bending in the other direction (frown instead :-( instead of a smile:) ). I replaced the longest leaf taken from the front and the ride is better and the main leaf looks much more normal.

I'll try to get a straight on profile shot this afternoon.

So the solution is to only take out the small leafs?
