Sorry it took so long to do this guys. Ive been working on getting everything together on the car and until not, its just been cobbled together (still is, haha) here are a few pics of how it sits in my parking lot right now. i just want to say another HUGEEEEEEEE thank you to Jay aka Da Tinman, and everyone else on the HAMB who have helped me learn and accomplish so much in so little time. Ill have it at the Rust Revival this weekend so stop by and say hi. The paint is temporary on the roof, as I still have to do the body work this winter, but I just want to DRIVE THE WHEELS OFF! Here's where it started: And here's where we are today: Sorry for the cell phone pics. See ya'll this weekend!!!
the gl*** looks like four door pieces... its cool and all, i just would have thought to use a one piece quarter window...
Thats how they come from the factory. All the 2 door sedans have that, haha. Thats what I was thinking you were talking about though, but I am in the process of making solid fixed gl*** for the quarters.
HOLY ****!!!! Nice job Dude, Looks like nobody ever messed with it! Are you bringing it to the Rust Revival? oh yeah thanks for taking off those hubcaps lol!
ya Jay im ridin her up tomorrow afternoon. The best thing is I havent even done any of the bodywork yet, just a grinder on the top. Just showin off your craft man. You are a truly gifted metal smith!
Wow, that was my **** name back yrs ago![/QUOTE] my **** name is Simon Starlite. anyway, car looks good never woulda nown the top was put back on.
oh damn! see i never knew that. im sorry. i wasnt hating cause the work looks amazing, i was just thinkin in my head that if i personally did all that work i would have done the solid windows. i cant wait to see more man, good job you should be proud. my knowledge of shoeboxes is lacking, thats all.
Its all good. You are in agreement with everyone else, its an ugly idea to the vent windows, but I had them, so I threw them back in. I have a few things left to swap them out to a fixed plane of gl***, which i think will clean it up quite a bit.
