I still have mine and a couple of years ago I took it out and me and a bunch of my car pals "played" with it all evening. I've got the figure 8 race track as well.

My most memorable was the Christmas I got the Barbie camper I so despertly wanted. It was probably '73 or '74. My parents had the best of both worlds. My mom got to pick out the barbie stuff I wanted each year and Dad got to pick out all the hot wheels stuff I always wanted as well.:D

Without a doubt it was when I was in 1966 when I was 8 years old, and my parents gave me a Hot Dog 3 HP mini-bike. I couldn't sleep Christmas eve night with all the anticipation. I got up that morning with a fever and wasn't allowed to ride it till I got well. So I stayed inside the house and watched my uncle and cousins ride it around. But once I got well I rode the hell out of it! Good times!

It has to be a rust free 1928 Model A 2 door that my dad paid $90 for. It was 1957 and I was 13. Messed with the car until I was 16 and traded it for a '53 Olds 88 or 98 hardtop.

Ya know thinking about it my best gift is actually my parents, without them I would not have had the great childhood that I did. The gift that sticks in my mind at the earliest age would be my 5hp go-kart, I put more miles on that then anything and dozens of centrifugal clutches.....we used to pour oil on the tires. Merry Christmas to all you Guys and Gals.

My dad gave me a miniture wood lathe and a hand tool set with my name on the box (Nick but it said Nicky) when I was about 8 years old. Those two things started me on my tool addiction trip.

    Thanks Pop!

Some kinda rocket with a gantry, lit up made noise, think it maybe even smoked. I was 5-6 yrs old. A few days before Christmas I slipped on some ice and broke my leg. That landed me in the hospital for Christmas. My folks showed up, I got the toy laying in bed in traction. I thought that thing was way cool.

  18. I got an original 1960's Nauga Monster that rides on the back seat today. I got him off eBay and he only cost $100.00:eek:. I think I stole my original from the Sears Furniture Store in 1963:cool:!
Have seen repros for sale on eBay for about $20.00. Naugys were taken off the endangered list years ago I think:D
