I bought the 28 RPU body in GA for $300, it had spent the last 40 years in a chicken barn sitting in bird ****. The entire bottom of the body and subrails were gone.
Subrails were robbed from a totalled sedan. The cowl panels are new, cowl posts are patched on bottom. The subrail extensions are new. The doors, quarters, and back of cab have home made patch panels. I just chopped and leaned the windshield back.
You been working hard.............and it certainly is paying off..........the body looks good........are you shooting for this year to have it on the road?
No wonder the roadster's on egay Looks great, Rich. What kinda Honda ya got there? 160 or 305? mid-tenn mike Poor Boys CC TN
Good eye Mike, it's a CA160 Touring. I ride it work, and take my girls to school on it. They love me.......
Cool! A man with good taste. There's a 305 Dream in my garage next to the H-D. You gonna have that thing done this season, or just ride the Honda?
Nice, I remember the tech post on the door, had no idea the rest of it was that bad. Great work Rich.
Yes, the plans are to use an 8BA that I picked up. The motor needs a little work... Flathead Problems
[ QUOTE ] Way to save some history. [/ QUOTE ] Indeed! Rust holes and dents are part of the history of the car and they add the character. Don´t take me wrong, I don´t admire rat rods, but this is what I relized working with my T-Tudor when I almost grinded off some nice scars... Well what am I telling, I bet you all knew this... Nice R P/U body by the way! I like the windshield.
Hey Rodster, Looking good buddy! Just a quick question: how much is the windscreen chopped? Cheers. Adam F
