Stickys are for auctions That's the girls weekend in East Tawas at our beach cottage. Maybe Megan and I can escape for a couple of hours one of the days.
In my mind the Flathead Nationals will always be the drag race at Bandimere Speedway. Of course, its official name is the High Al***ude Flathead and Inline Nationals, but it has always been called the Flathead Nationals. It's kind of like having a car show called The March Meet. Just ain't the same.
Is this **** really necessary.....quit being ****ing English majors and go out in the garage and work on something.....I'm just telling the people interested about the show..
they have nothing better to do, all the garage work must be done. sounds like a great event , wish I was closer to it.
So, do you need to present yourself as stupid, unable to grapple with grammar and spelling to be into flatheads? If so, I may have to change the power plants in my two old Fords. "Only flathead powered vehicles can compete for prizes" Shouldn't that be may?
What ever the name, events or rules, I'll be there. Sounds like a great show. May I attend? (asking for permission) Can I attend? (am I able to)
Just found out about this via the GMB Social Group. It is near me but I have non flatty unless I drive a tractor! The boys and I may stop by just for the ambiance. And yes, it is the inaguaral event, whatever they are calling it.
Almost missed this,... I talked with Mark today,.. He told me about it, I wont have the Roadster there, but I think maybe I can talk my buddy Bill into bringing his cabriolet. Looks like fun !
Im going, seems the word is spreading in the flat motor world around here. Had 2 call to tell me about it this week.
Very Interested, but I've already committed to the Syracuse Nationals that same weekend. Take lots of pictures....
I wasn't trying to be a smart ***. There already is an event popularly known as the Flathead Nationals. It's drag race held by the group formerly known as the Flatheaders of Denver, now called the Vintage Drag Racing ***ociation. My question about the drag race was a serious one. If there is a drag race, I will list it in the schedule of nostalgia drag races on my web site. If it doesn't, I won't because I don't list car shows that don't have a drag race as well. It's that simple. It sounds like there isn't a drag race, but I wanted to be sure. God knows, I love flatheads and hope the event is a screaming success.
I'll be there laying down a few lines. Now if I can just get those Eddie Meyer heads to slip over my Pontiac valve covers I'll be able to sneak the car in........................
