Yeah, everyone took notice when that guy ran. 272 mph and looked every bit of it going down the track.

ECTA uses an abandoned runway at Maxton-Laurinburg Airport. Which is still an active airport. There is a slight dog leg right about 1/10 of a mile from the starting line. The course is a mile long to the speed traps. Then there is another 9/10-s mile shutdown with a similar dog leg right about half way down. ECTA has done a lot of pavement repairs and upgrades in the past year including cutting down all the trees that lined the west side of the course. Check out the hyperlink

My bucket list is so long now why not add another. This is the kind of thing I could really get into.

This is some impressive engineering. It's a Buick T-Type that originally came with a Turbo V-6. It is still turbocharged but Big Block Chevy powered (I think).

Thanks Brent. I was not all that happy with a lot of them but I am working on getting better and better. The grey skies made for some weird lighting.

A few more pics. The Jeep pickup had a Hilborn (I think) Fuel Injected 6 cylinder engine for power. Man, I love the weird stuff!!!!!!!!

Hey, I'm in some of those pics! You even got my wife & little girl in one of those!! Your pics are alot better than mine, but most of mine are detail pics of the Bone's cars...I spent the better part of the day under all 3 coupes. I sat in the tan one, and guess what? I fit just fine....

I remember you. I was right there when you sat in the car. I should have introduced my self. I was wearing a white and black Old Crow hat. I came home and mentioned that there was a guy there with his little girl in a stroller and it was awesome. Great to see the whole family out there.

Great pics, going to have to add this event to my list. Nice to see a Model A with a full top and fenders.

I love hot rods in motion. Wow, you can have fun without lawn chairs.
