Just finised the frame for my sedan and was wondering what radiator I sould look for. The frame is 24" inside the rails, and I will be running a sbc with a auto trans. Don't want to spend a whole lot of money but I may have to.

alot of us in fort worth have used the same ones that come in 66 mustangs they also have a cooler built in.

they are $125 i think i lowered my shell almost five inches and the radiator is on top of the cross member so you should have plenty of room to use it

I used a '65 Mustang unit. 3 row core, with a trans.cooler on the bottom.(350/p.g.) Brand new,Advance auto.$165. no problems. I did have to trim the side mounting flanges by about a 1/4". fits a '32 shell great. Sparky

Never go cheap on cooling. You dont want to be sitting in the parking lot when your buddies are cruzing

mine is a 30/31 shell it fits fine.
i have also seen the same one in a 28/29,and in a t shell so your covered.as far as "going cheap on a cooling system" it is more than enough radiator for the job,and it's a good deal so i wouldn't worry about it.

It worked so well on my 29 truck we thought what the hell and put one on my buds T-Bucket.
60 over 350 SBC,11.1 comp.,2800 stall converter and normal temp runs 185 degrees, sometimes around 205 and never more.
Notice I said normal........he has a very heavy right foot. [IMG]

You know at the time it didn't seem like a dumb idea to stand in front of a car and take a burnout picture...... [IMG]

Just building a frame to hold the Mustang rad I was about to order for my 29. Might check out this ford unit as the rounded top corners might make for a better fit. Wonder if the price here in canada is as reasonable as the ebay one. Found the mustang rad in Canada for about 150 in US $ . Napa here in Canada wanted $325 US whereas Napa in US has it for $207 US
Just an after thought. The tractor rad won't have the ****** cooler so will need separate unit with it.

Thanks. Their price is about same as my canadian source if I have to pay UPS brokerage ripoff charges. I found the Ford tractor one here in Canada at $240 in US$ but it was a 4 row without cooler. That unit does come also with a cooler from what I found surfing. I liked the dimensions and shape of it. Also top hose is further to the right.
