Back in the 60's I beleive Big Daddy Roth had a saying, Color Me Gone. I recall the phrase and remember a sticker with some sort of cartoon/drawing about that saying.

For some reason that phrase poped in to my head about a year or so ago but can't find anything about it. Talk about a flash back from the 60's.

As I said I don't recall who had that phrase exactly but I would love to have that drawing to down load for my files. Some of you may remember the Rat Hole (Roth).

That's my quest for staters. Later yawl.

Axle Grinder; Thanks for the welcome. I have to learn how to navigate around here yet. X150; Hello. Fueler; When did Lindamood race? Moparlife; Some of the pix's look like they are from the 60's.

I'm going back prior to 67/68 when I start driving legally and got my share of high fuel consumption added tax for city, town or state. Think they call them citations. Your lien if your denien.

If I recall, say mid 60's, I was still building models of Hot Rods and seam to recall that phrase on some of those stickers. I know the hemi was the high power block at that time. Flash back to Island Dragway, Great Medows NJ. Don Garlett, Hemi Under Gl***, don't remeber what TV Tommy Ivo ran though. No matter, was always in the pit area when one could afford it. Talked to em all, except TV Tommy.

Brain Fart, Brain Freez, A Senior Moment call it what you will one of you will come up with a time line for this. Or I'll ask the correct qustion on Google one of these days if it works properly.

Hay, if I may through a wrench in all of this. 1962 Chevy Pu. project. Keeping it original looking/sleeper. What front end will work? Or should I Keep it orig. 350 Chevy, slightly modified. Stick shift a must. Got to pull the line but need highway gear at the end.

That's it guys and Thanks. Have a great weekend.

Sorry guys, I've been knocking on doors. Flash back to the Carter Years. Thanks 55X150. Matawan NJ? You must be an Englishtown or Atco 1/4 miler. Wouldn't think you made it up to Island Dragway. Is Island Dragway even open any more? Have a frend that grew up at the end of the road on the farm past Island Dragway. I'll have to get in touch with her. Later Guys & Gals.

Color me "whatever" was a fad saying back in the late sixties. Color me happy, color me surprised, and so on. It started from top 10 pop song Color me Father by the Winstons.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPcsEEvMkks

It drove me nuts for a year until I remembered the song.

    Hope this helps.
