Listen, if you want to have a pissing contest, go some where else and do it. Most of us here are rodders and/or racers and we enjoy this thread on our forum, you're in "our house", so kindly buzz off. And I mean that in the most respectful of manners.

Your photos were posted some where on some ones facebook account so there seems to be some one else you should jumping all over. that person made your shots available to him or anyone else with access to them. I've enjoyed his posts, (also wish there were more dirt shots). like some people suggested to me maybe you should watermark them like Al Consoli does to prevent this so you can GET YOUR CREDITS! I Chose to say screw it! I"M NOT IN IT FOR THE GLORY! just don't care for the thiefs, and continued to post our shots on the sprint car and midget threads for all the sprint car and midget guys to ENJOY. If I had any more mod shots that fit this thread I'd still be posting here with the same feelings as the sprint&midget threads.the other thing you can do is shut down the right click access to your photos like the 3WidesPictureVault does so you can make your money if thats what the problem is.....

Look pal, my stuff was brought in here without permission, I SURELY would not post one shot here. As I told your "leader", I would rather throw all my modified nostalgia in Lake Meade, than have you view them.

Tell your Mr. BULL@#$%%^& not to pirate, and post, my stuff, and I will disappear !

OK enough already please. Obviously you're not happy, yet you keep coming back to this thread to publicly make your point. I strongly suggest you try and work this out by PM between you and whomever else you need to work it out with.

As far as your feeling about throwing all of your nostalgia away rather than share it, well that's a real shame too because once it's gone....it's gone and there's no bringing it back. Believe me, I know from personal experience.

This thread helps many guys and gals who were there and lived it to at least be able to remember it again and keep it alive in their memories.

I feel sorry for you that you are unable to share your experiences and bring your stories to this discussion and share with all of us. I for one would be interested in them.

  6. Thought our leader was John56h, who started this thread! Thanks guys for the support I've said everything I could say before he started posted on the thread. I said you could keep them in a box because he said they are never seeing the light of day, he might as well go bury them in his backyard! Also suggested not to throw them in the lake because the fish might enjoy them! His photos, he can do what he wants! I'm done folks with this and tomorrow I'll have more photos, hopefully non of them are his, can't tell when there was no credit on someone's facebook! I stayed this long without coming across his photos and name!

  7. How do I know YOU took that shot and it wasn't your neighbor's father who did then died. And you got all of his old slides and photos? When you put your photos up on line without a copywrite or a watermark of some sort, they become public domain.

Now go home and play with your box of pithers, you sound like a little kid that takes his ball home cause no one plays by his rules.

BTW he is not my buddy. Bullfather is my son and I doubt you could come anywhere near what he has done in stock car racing at the age of 33 here on Long island with his On Line show then most have ever done.

So, quit belly aching and grow up. Public domain. No name, belongs to the public. Shot yourself in the foot huh.

JHed82, one last thing on "your photo".
Bullfather made the original post on 20 May 2010.

    http://www.jacksracephotos.net/5-23-2010-Trenton61-1.jpg

    (jacksracingphotos.net/5-23-2010-Trenton61-1.jpeg)

The URL to the photo on your site is dated 23 May 2010, so even if it is you did take the photo, how can you be upset with his reposting from another public source?
It seems to me you should be upset with the original source. Could you have possible already sold this photo and with it the rights for publication?
I could understand you being upset if the photo was downloaded from your site and altered to remove the watermark, but it clearly was not.

By the way, I did take some time to visit your site. The photos were good quality, but I found the site layout awkward and a bit annoying. There were too many ads for other sites and no clear navigational tools. I was specifically looking for the section where this photo was posted, because I thought there might be some of the same genre, but I could not actually locate the page this was published on.

Brian, you've always been wiser and much more diplomatic than me. Let's get on with the pics, like our boy Peter said.

Emil..what are pithers? Never mind; I'll look it up. :D

  10. Retrorides,

I'm with you. I've witnessed stuff first hand and 40 years later I might get the details wrong. Does that mean I'm full of crap, I don't think so. Then ya' get the first hand reports of incidents from a witness to something you didn't attend from 40 years ago. Over the years some details might get omitted or exaggerated!!!!!!

As for the photos. I don't care where they come from. I just like lookin'. This is my form of entertainment. Better than watching Law & Order reruns.

Let the guy jump into Lake Mead with his stuff and be gone. All I can say is bye, bye, bye!!!!!!

    Flyin'Brian12,
You are correct (about my typo), but the correct year at Langhorne for that photo of Mitch Smith was 1970 (not 1979 or 1969)....glad we got that cleared up!

    Bullfather / Randomrodder,
You guys rock! Glad you're fighting back against that whiney baby pissant, jed82. You're not breaking any laws, so who cares what he wants you to do or not to do....$crew him!

    jed82,
    Bye, bye....we'll miss 'ya....NOT!

Here is Elton Hill's Plainville car, before and after...Mr. R.L.Wilkinson Jr. took these photos, and was also instrumental in putting together the deal which resulted in Joe Bertheume's excellant restoration. I know Rick won't mind me posting his photos, as even though retired, he has more on his mind than some sad sack making 20 cents on ebay.

I visit this thread several times a day and enjoy it immensely. The Bullfather does a great job keeping it going. I've seen cars that I admired back in the sixties and even met someone that built one of my favorite Freeport modifieds.Keep up the good work.

Some more Charlie J and LI Mods

Jimmie Hendrickson x3 and Charlie Jarzombek #1 at Islip. Seems like Charlie was always battling with someone each season for the most wins or the championship: CJ and Hendrickson at Islip in the early 70's, CJ and Harbach in the mid 70's at Islip, CJ and Greg Sacks at Islip and Rivrhead, Tom McCann in the late 70's early 80's at Islip, CJ and Gary Winter at Freeport, CJ and George Wagner at Freeport, CJ and George Brunnhoezl at Freeport....

Keep em comin. I grew up going to Seekonk Speedway in the sixties and seventies. Always looked forward to the open shows when the Waterford Speedbowl mods would come up. Saw the famous L&M take out the starters stand backwards. Don't mind that cranky old douche bag and his picture problems. Keep it up.

I guess I have been pushing the envelope of this site. Unfortunately I didn't have the privilege of access to the races growing up. But I do appreciate the pics and stories. Truth be told I only made it to three modified races, One at Seekonk in 77, Freeport also except the race was called when we got there (four hour tow, would have been a moot point because when Billy was testing the car later in the week at Seekonk, the motor let go after a few laps), and the 1978 Spring Sizzler (if you could see though the smoke you could see Art and I ducking when the cars took out the entrance gate before turn 1, the pic was in Stock Car Magazine).

Now I live on the West Coast and have 2 cars from back east, and one from here that I built as an east coast car. No I won't ask for any more car/driver info this time. The other problem out here is when I run the car, its thrown in with the Super Modifieds.

Can anyone suggest any other sites where the cars pictured here that are currently being run or recreations of them are being discussed and photos/information on restoration shared? I would also be interested in finding a source for t-shirts depicting these cars (Joel, have you done any?).

    Thank you, Barry

  25. They came a long way in a very short time fron VWs to truly, Mini-Modifieds! Amazing. And, you just had to post that Zoot phot didn't you. Someone posted a couple at another site a couple of years ago. Nice kid.

Wow. I love these old West Haven (CT.) shots. I remember that 11 car burning up in the infield and the driver jumping out through the window opening. Must have been the early/mid sixties.
These photos bring back priceless memories. Don't let an angry few ruin it for the rest of us. Once these photos are in the public domain, anyone can repost at will. Even if one copy was sold for 25 cents way back when, it is public domain.

one more from the mini class![/QUOTE]

I enjoyed the mini mods, too, that started out as the vw class as was pointed out by Emil. I think another brainchild of Larry Mendolsohn. The 40 and 04 red vw's were team cars and flew. Was one of the Campi's in one of them and the name Wink Herold pops into my head. There was a beautiful yellow bug #14 sponsored by Vinyl Village like Artie Tappan. And Joe Santiago #55 always had a fast and neat machine. I believe he may have been in the division since the inception. Of course Ray Grennan #35 and Jerry Solomito #99 went onto the modifieds. Did Ray or Ray's son run in the truck division t Riverhead? I think the Fred Harbach's boys (Alan and Richie) may have started in the mini modifieds as well. Tim Contarino was another modified driver that started in the mini-mods with a beautiful car.

I enjoyed the Dad jokes (all in good fun of course). Have to catch you at Riverhead this year, Bullfather. I can't get the wife in kids there until the weather warms up and school is out. We always make the fireworks shows. I'll have to track you down and say hello.

What ever happened to the gal that was the head of the Charlie Jarzombek Fan Club?

If memory serves me correctly I THINK her name was Linda Ruland.
