I was staring at my bucket one day last week and decided it needed something to break it up. I was inspired by another post (Tuki) to flame job this weekend. I don't think I would have done it any different now that I've seen them finished, I still need to pinstripe the flames on the side like I did on the top of the cowl.

Looks great,Wicked! I think I caught your build thread last year, then lost track of it. Didn't know it was finished already. I should get out in the shop and get mine done. Nice work!

And,by the way,Fedcospeed,I saw your roadster at the Cavalcade.Nice work on yours as well.Coolest car there,as far as I was concerned!

  9. Excellent job; works really well with the lines of your hot rod and the colour is a welcome change from the usual red/orange/yellow.

Like the color, sick of the usual fade white to orange to red............

I really like the flame job on the 'Iron Man' roadster from the movie too and would love to try that on my A.

Yea, I quit posting on here because the traditional police were beating me down. I decided that I wouldn't post my car on here anymore, but I'm getting kindof pumped up about finishing this thing now. Thanks for the compliments, the flames worked better for the car than I had planned. More (old school)pinstriping to come.:D

It's a Willy's, there is a support for the windshield posts to slide into under the cowl. I chopped the windshield by half and put the top of the top frame onto the bottom frame, and cut the top part of the post's off.

Looks neat with the flames. If you're building it for yourself, build what you want to drive. Don't let anyone dictate what you should build. (Unless they're payin'.)

Nobody offered yet, that's why it is what it is. Maybe later, a traditional "A" Coupe will be in the cards for me. I have a 50 Coupe to get back on first.

Lynn Steele may be making the rubber grommets for the windshiled posts which fit around the post and seal the cowl. If they don't make the Willys then they might make the Dodge ones which may fit as well.

Thanks for the tip on the windshield post, I didn't know anything belonged there. I made those headers to match an "Altered" roadster Pickup truck I saw in a magazine. I liked them being a little crazy looking. I'm not too sure about them yet, someone asked me if I hired a Crackhead to build them. lol.
