Does anyone know of a good replacement tank for a 52 Chevy sedan? Or, what is a good way to clean out my old one?

Try www.nationalchevyassoc.com they have a replacement tanks in plastic and steel for around $200. I used one of their plastic tanks on my '51, fit perfect, works great and no more issues!

I cleaned mine with muriatic acid, worked ok,
but a 17 gallon RCI fuel cell fits in stock position if you lose the spare tire well. I clogged enough filters and had to stop for gas quite often with the stock tank. now, its better.

there are plastic replacements available too, from a few suppliers.

Do I need any special parts or modifications to install a 66 mustang tank in a 1950 Chevy or is a bolt in? Should I put a new fuel line (hard line) in the car or can they be cleaned?

    Thanks

    Dave

I am looking to do the same thing. Just checked out some pics of the mustang tank, and couldn't see where the sending unit would mount. Any help on that?

  14. you need to cut a hole in your trunkfloor for the mustang tank to sit in probbably the spare tire well will have to be filled

the sending unit on a stang tank is in the front of the tank behind the rear axle

for the cost of new lines just replace your old ones much safer that way also

when i first got my 69 i took a the tank to a place to get it dipped to clean it out they wanted 110 to dip it luckly i looked in a mustang parts catalog before they got around to dip it
