    In '44, '45, I would go with my dad in the pickup and gas up, then drive back home, syphon some into the car. It was a direct suphon hose from the Model A tank (up high) to the Chivvy sedan tank(down low). We never bought gas for the car directly, always transferred to the pickup. I was just a kid, the only reference I recall was 'twice as much' gas for the 'business' vehicle. A ratio of 3-5 gallons would sound reasonable.

    Seems like if you really wanted to, you could use repo roadster rear quarters. Lots of work, but I would think something can be done with it. Brookville, Brattons, Mike's, Synders, and the list goes on and on. Good luck!
