He will be around for a few days and wants to stripe and paint some cars..... if you need some stripes or even some flames.... contact the shop, this will be a really good opportunity as he has never been to Austin Before......

Can't wait to see the 5w Bobby. I am piecing one together and pretty much have a lot of the body. I'm building a mid 50's drag car with a 331 and full house banjo. Think Satan Coupe/Devil Deuce meet Stone Woods & Cook color blue. Anyways, I am stoked to see you get this going as I know it'll be rad.

What frame are you using under your 5w it's not Stephen's is it? Tell us you plans....engine, trans, rear etc.

thanks....... It will be a full comp coupe period 1959. no aftermarket parts, everything vintage or hand made..... full race 55 Olds engine, Gotha Equiped...... lasalle trans, culver city quickchange..... magnesium wheels..... etc......

Center seat, flip up body....... filled grill, with Franco's best....

Kind of a pissed off, coupe version of the Orange Crate.

It will be a long project, its not going to be done any time soon, but its been keeping me up at night for years already.......

this is going on the whitey frame..... can't wait!

That thing is going to be wicked, powered by an Olds makes it that much better. Like others have stated, post plenty of pics along the way!

Congrats on the 5W, Bob. Your frames have come a long way in style since the "Bleed Sweep's" inception, huh?

God I can't wait to see the flip top body and the center seat is just ****ing awesome. Love the plans and while you're building the next Orange Crate, I'll build the next Satan Coupe. Let's finish by the 2015 Roundup and scare the city!

I was going to run a Packard ****** since Littlewing was selling one for $125. I thought that was a good deal. The LaSalles are a bit out of my league but rad none the less.

Stephen has gone mad!!! He's went from one end of the spectrum to the other haha!!! I have done the same I think. Well I am sure the new owner of that frame is going to love every tiny detail and bit of sweat you put in it.

    Keep us posted.

It's not the one Johnny Cola had right? That one was locked up but had all the cool period parts on it. You guys must have all the right connections. Always coming up with the real deal cool ****.

Can we get Norwell to so a concept drawing for your coupe with all your ideas? I might do that for Christmas to tied me over while I am collecting and taking my time. I would love to see him whip your car up so we can see it.

Thanks everyone...... I miss the Little Man..... I want to race Deaths Doorstep..... I guess I should learn to drag race first haha I've never even raced on a track before.....

    Big learning curve for me!

Yeah I'm proud of some of the work I've been doing.... Its crazy that the further I get into this stuff the more I need to learn. You work really hard to get to a certain level.... and then when you get there, its time to start all over to get to the next one.

    I'm in a constant state of realising I don't know ****.

    Building Hot Rods is hard.

I've had the Olds motor for a bunch of years...... it is NOS..... I had new rings and bearings put in so its ready to go..... the green one was rebuilt too, but then some mice got in it....

LIL Bobby Bleed tomorrow night! haha
