Thought I would share the build pics of my Merc I built at our new shop here in Orange city Fla. All I have left to finish is the interior so I will update when I can. Not completely traditional but most Mercs have some kinda modern add on my happens to be a LS-1. You can check out the website if interested http://www.volusiacountycollision.webs.com/ Thanks hope you like it! here are some before pics...
vERY NICE WORK. I really like the shoebox tail lights? Mild head lights are great--are they stockers with the bucket reset? Nice proportions--- great work--and hours necessary are appreciated.
Thanks, tail lights are just tear drops but I thought they fit the body nicely upside down and frenched -in and the headlights are 54 Merc with blue dot lens.
its a great looking car but i cant help but feel like i stubbed my toe when i saw the steering wheel and gauges
Yea I knew I would get something like that from someone but at least I did not do what a lot of people do and put some tacky 80's style complete dash in. My intent was to keep it traditional outside and reliable and somewhat comfortable inside this is not a trailer queen I plan to drive the hell out of it.
Thanks for all the good comments guys and if anyone is in the central Florida area and or would like to see the car or bring something down for work feel free to contact me I am very reasonable and fair on pricing but as always you get what you pay for and I prefer to put out only quality work.
Once again thank you! I will get some interior pics up soon I am going out of town this next week but when I return its time to tackle the inside. Then onto the air ride to get this thing on the ground plus I need to be able to raise it I am dragging off my tail pipes pulling in and out of my shop.
Beautiful job! That blue is fantastic. Did you end up weatherstripping all around the side windows? I would love to see some detail shots of the window channel and weatherstrip area if you did. I plan on hardtopping mine with Hirohata-esque window trim eventually (it's already chopped). I drive the goof out of it though, so would like weatherstripping and researching my options on how to handle it.
