I just joined and I am already falling in love with the site! Seems like a lot of great people, great projects and great advice. I am only 25 so my appreciation comes from a love of all things automotive rather than nostalgia. I am a self taught builder and can't wait to tackle my next project. After graduating from college I took on my first project car (a late model import) and stripped it down to just the body. I learned a lot working on that car and I have a ton of fun driving it like mad. I just bought my first home and I am currently rebuilding the 49 vintage garage. If you have any interest in that build you can check it out here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59241 My next project will most likely be a late 40s early 50s lead sled inspired hot rod. If I didn't close on my house last week I would have scooped up this local car. http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/1732585212.html My father has been looking for a 40s or 50s pickup and hopefully that will also see some time in my shop. I still have a ton to learn and it seems like this is a great place to it!
Hello from one nubee to another, The garage is cool and looks like you could have a few projects going. Good luck with the new house. Nice to see someone is doing OK in our economy.
If it were a month or 2 from now I would be there with a trailer. Is it as as nice as the pictures? Seems like a price that is to good to be true.
Its a solid car. I think you could make a decent offer and bring it home. They have been trying to sell it for sometime now. I believe it need a rebuilt generator not much more than that to be road worthy
another CT guy here. i got a 1967 Dodge D-100 pickup truck i'm looking into making a g***er out of it.
Welcome from NY. I like to hear about families like yours with more than one generation involved. My son is a HAMBer also and I am currently building a Dodge Pilothouse pickup with two of my grandsons. Keep[ us posted on all of your projects.
