  1. Took the newest roadster to "Mangus" yesterday to put the guts in it.
Can't stand towing an empty trailer back home 325 miles, so
    Found this to bring home.
Ought to look good slammed with 17's and a 2 tone paint job.
Did 1 2 years ago and it sold in less than 3 days on the market. Prob had it priced too cheep.
    This 1 will flip quick.
    50,000 og miles

It appears that I must know absolutely nothing about flipping cars.

    Great reply

  13. Noooooo 17" wheels!

Although sadly, it's probably what the market wants.

    Thats what I'm sayin.....

  15. keep the wheels and covers, drop it and put wide whites on it. Paint it black with some flames and you might be on to something.

  16. Don't screw it up man, leave it the way it is.

  17. 17's are right up there with the "RR" word in my book. How about an old style set of halibrands instead?

It's your car. Slammed with 17s sounds good to me, but two tone paint.......

I see the Trad-Police are on the job.

CAR TO FLIP, aka... Car made most desireable to the target-market.

Holy crap you guys are uptight.

    X2

Though honestly if you are doing it to flip, i wouldn't be too quick to style it too much in one direction - limits your potential market.

My 2 cents would be one color, and definitely slammed.
Wheel choice is up to you (hell, everything is up to you anyway..:D), but it wouldnt surprise me if you got just as much interest with a set of $500 astro supremes and some pinner whites from the traditional crowd, which is getting bigger and more popular everyday, as you would with $2-$4k in billet wheels and tires from the more pro-touring crowd.

Either way, nice car, and good luck with it.

Maybe you're just not "uptight enough".

  22. The thing is, doing it in a traditional style limits your target audience, and the target audience is a tight fisted bunch of mfs who dont want to spend a nickel. On the other hand, the goobers that like the 17 inch wheels and tacky ass two tone paint aren't afraid to turn loose of the green to get the crusier they want. As bad as I hate the two tone paint and ugly ghetto wheels, I def see the logic here, and hey, it is his car. Good luck with the flip man, though you prob won't need luck, there are an awful lot of those type that still have cash to spend. That, my friends, is intelligent financial planning, though it does suck to see that happen to another Buick....

    To antagonize us. :D

Cool car, I think what really sells car is stance, but that's just an opinion of an 18 year old hoodlum that couldn't give away a car.

  27. Lotsa negitivity out there, or is it jealousy??
Here's the last 1 I did and it was only on the market for 3 days and
    S O L D, for a very fair $$$.
Not much more than sum of the junk I've seen with, Astros, heated coils, Moon disc, taildraggers, flat paint, ETC
Ya may have seen it @ some Good Guys events across the country, as sum guy named Gary M ended up with it.

Antagonize like "hey look, I'm going to crush this rust free A Coupe". Why stop at 17, lift it and "donk" it.

I dont think its "jealousy" as you put it, you posted info about modifing a car in a manner that this site is not about. You opened that can of worms. If you bought it to flip and thats all its about then do it as you please and flip it. I dont have a problem with it, the pics of the last one you flipped looks nice, not my style but it looks nice for the style it is. That style is popular, so be it. If you want atta boys from the crowd then stay within the style this site is all about. There are other sites where that style of car is what its about. There are guys who dig several different styles of cars, nothing wrong with that, just keep the content where the content belongs.

Aw man, that looks like crap!

Just kidding. It looks like you know the recipe for the Riv. Again, one of those "not my taste" but it looks well done and there is definitely a market for it in certain circles.

Not everything has to be done like a hot rod 32 Ford for Pete's sake.
