Anyone have a recommendation for a brake shop in Austin that they have had good experiences with? I need to get some '39 wide five drums turned, new (kevlar?) linings on the shoes and the shoes arced to match the drums. I'd like to avoid the chain stores, but all experiences are helpful.

    Thanks,
    Ken

I actually went to them for some clutch parts a couple years ago. Thanks for the suggestion, anyone else?

not wide-fives, but I took some 48 drums to South Austin Machine Shop, on S. Lamar and Manchaca. They worked quickly, and didn't charge too much. Only one experience with them, but it was positive, and I'll give 'em more business.

Ok, bringing it back to the top. Any other shops you guys trust? Austin Brake and Clutch quoted me $30/ea drum to turn Model A drums, not sure if that is the going rate, but I'd like to shop around a little.
