If your looking for Merc photos you might try searching for that '40 that Gooch was trying to pimp for Rudy Rodriguez. The chop was really nice and I think there was a paintless 3/4 shot taken from above that showed all of the cut lines and metal work. Probably a good six months back in the classifieds...and I'd almost bet money that Sailor saved a copy of the pictures.
Not the Zaro Merc, but worth a lokk anyway. Sorry about that, I know I sometimes get annoyed when I ask a question and someone comes back with something that was not at all what I was needing. Good luck.
Grimlok,thanks. I have seen that one.I really wanted to see the rear of the Zaro Merc. I think the rear window is chopped but I am not sure.

This is the original Zaro-Merc in 1949. It do looks like the rear window is chopped and it also looks like the Matranga Mercury was chopped a bit too. I chopped mine 1 3/4" in the middle and 2" in the lower ends to get a more dropped shape. Don't know if Sam chopped it like that, but it looks pretty allright.

All I have is a front shot, this car is currently owned by Kurt McCormick. I have sat in it but was alittle overwelmed that day don't recall all the details of rear window
