I was real excited to see the 50 Buick Jetback that was in the cl***ifieds, but after the car was inspected it showed to need more work than I wanted to take on. So I guess the search continues for a nice 50's GM 2 door with no rust.
In the mean time I'll still hang out here and try not to be to annoying :D

I've had a few early '50s Buicks. '53 Special 2-door hardtop, '51 Roadmaster 4-door, and my favorite...a '51 Roadmaster 2-door hardtop Riviera. Maaaaan, you know you're drivin' a car when behind the wheel of one of those...especially without power-steering! LOL. Loved it. The '40s models are awesome as well...and the late '30s too! Good luck with your search.

The right one will come along and hopefully I will be ready. I am looking through the ads on this site and there a bunch of awesome cars out there.

  5. In AZ you should be able to throw a rock in any direction and hit a '50s GM 2-door that, if not 100% rust free, has rust that is utterly insignifgant in nature.

You would think so but all of the rust belt guys have ******ed them away.
I heard about a 52 Buick at our club meeting last night. I am waiting to get more info.

I found my 51 Super completely by accident and I've been in love ever since! They are the perfect "cruiser" in my opinion. Good luck!

Are the straight 8 blocks prone to cracking? The 52 I am waiting to see has a coolant leak from the block. I am hoping it is just a bad water jacket plug.
