Just joined and working on a '74 Challenger that my dad left me. Its a bone stock 318/904 Rally, Triple Black. We were going to do a full restore but he died of cancer a couple years ago and I can't afford the ridiculous prices for NOS and re-pops for these old Mopars so I'm doing what I call a "custom sleeper". ****ing the ugly Nader inspired bumpers back in, new paint (keeping it black tho) and doing as much of the work as possible myself. Doing a basic engine build; stock except for a mild cam, AVS 4bbl and dual exhaust. Even sewing up new seat covers myself It runs but the ****** is toast so that is the next step to getting it back on the road. Anyone interested in the project, here is the link: http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=4838122&an=0&page=0#Post4838122
Thanks. It seems from a thread asking what H.A.M.B. is all about, my project may be considered inappropriate as it is not a 64 or older. I will try not to get under foot LOL. I registered mainly to give a shout-out to a member that has a Hemified 56 chevy g***er project threaded here that is also from Omaha, but I've been following links here from Moparts.com for a couple years now. I used to have a 56 1/2 ton Dodge with a 318/727 with a push ****on shifter but it got wrecked and I had to let her go. Given the resources I've found the past few years on the Net, I wish I would have kept it but that's water under the bridge. If I had the room I WOULD have a 64 or older project as well but ya play the card yer dealt, eh? Anyway Thanks again. This is a really cool site you guys have here. . If in time I have something that is in deed worth sharing I will. Until then, I will probably just lurk for a spell and admire if that's ok.
