    Hi!

I'm CaddyRat and proudly own a 1959 Caddy jalopy that I found in a farmers barn in Oklahoma, where I reside.

When you buy a car thats been sitting in mud with the windows slightly rolled down and a leaky roof- there's always fun things to do. Which is why I am here. I heard about how this is the Holy Grail of old car forums and wanted to be a part of it.

So hopefully I can find a spot to sit and shoot the breeze with y'all about old cars.

I am currently replacing floor boards and trying to stuff a Caddy 500 motor between the frame rails. Anyone attempt something as silly as this? Maybe a tip or three?

    Appreciate the read,
    CaddyRat

Got the profile filled out. "whew" thanks for the tip. I've heard of the non-stop flameage some people have to endure when they screw up around here. (Fixes hair and straightens gig-line)

Whoa! I've been watching and lurking on your website for quite some time. That is by far one of the best Car-Resto websites I've ever seen. Keep up the good work man!!

Which headers/exhaust manifold did you decide on? I am having the same steering issue with mine. There's not a whole lotta room for exhaust there.

    Thanks Don!!

Welcome It is hard to beat a Cad motor 472 /500 for torque I have found a few at give away prices. I haven't run into any problems with space but it's all early Fords they are going into.

here you guys go....she's a work in progress with a good straight body and daily driver quality chrome all around. I rolled her outta the garage yesterday just for you guys. It's amazing how easy it is to roll now that I got the mud wasp nests out of the rear brake drums... [IMG]
